What Can I Do?

CASA of the Fourth Judicial District offers several options for community members, just like you, to be involved. Whether you can advocate, volunteer, or become a board member, we seek to fill the need of the program to provide the best services to the children. If you are unable to provide a donation of your time, please consider donating other resources.

Board Membership

Board Members are essential to the oversight of the program. They influence program goals and assist with needs. Requirements for Board Membership are:

  • Application Process
  • Pass background screening
  • Must be 21 years old
  • 3-year commitment

Other Opportunities

Volunteers may be involved in other aspects of our program such as clerical duties, grant writing, recruitment, etc. Requirements for these positions are:

  • Ability to pass background checks for clerical work
  • No age requirement
  • Flexible hour options

Advocate

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Volunteers advocate for the best interest of the child(ren) who have experienced abuse or neglect. The following requirements are:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Time commitment of 2 hours per week
  • Participate in 30-hour Preservice Training, an additional 12 hours of continuing education after certification
